Léa & Werner – Three Day Wedding Celebration in Ibiza

Léa and Werner, a wonderful and charming young Belgian couple, approached us with the wish to host their three-day wedding celebration in Ibiza. They envisioned a weekend that felt welcoming, elegant, and true to the island — centred around bringing their families and friends together.

With a clear vision already in place and a strong understanding of the island, they chose to collaborate directly with The Shop Productions. They knew that a production-led approach was the right fit and were looking for a partner who could translate their ideas into reality through technical expertise, structure, and execution.

By working with us as their production company, they were able to tap into our in-depth knowledge of Ibiza, trusted local contacts, and extensive experience delivering complex, multi-day events. Managing design, logistics, structures, technical production, entertainment, and guest flow under one roof ensured clarity, consistency, and a smooth planning process throughout the year — allowing the weekend to unfold seamlessly.

Their intention was to create three days that would evolve naturally across different sides of Ibiza — from the rustic countryside to the island’s coastline and an intimate private-villa setting — all designed to bring people together with elegance and ease. They consciously moved away from anything overly extravagant, favouring a timeless atmosphere shaped by the island’s spirit.

“It might sound cheesy, but we already feel nostalgic about what was truly the perfect wedding. From our very first video call, we immediately felt reassured and confident that we were in the best hands, and the entire team proved us right all the way until that unforgettable weekend.”

Day One — A Soft Opening in the Ibizan Countryside

For the first evening, Léa and Werner wanted a relaxed and welcoming start to the weekend celebration, gathering their guests for a Spanish-influenced evening in the countryside. The aim of the night was to create space for people to meet, reconnect, and ease into the weekend while experiencing Ibiza in its quiet, authentic rural setting.

The couple already had several venues in mind. After reviewing the options together and weighing the pros and cons, they chose a pomegranate farm in Sant Llorenç — selected for its natural surroundings, sense of privacy, and easy accessibility, while remaining deeply connected to the island’s landscape.

In keeping with the couple’s vision of an intimate, rustic countryside setting, The Shop Productions created a series of thoughtfully placed chill-out areas throughout the agricultural landscape. Alongside these, hay bales were introduced to reinforce the countryside feel and add an extra layer of warmth to the space. Overhead, festoon lighting stretched across the field, softly defining the setting and creating a gentle, welcoming glow as guests gathered, talked, and settled into the evening.

Alongside this, a long, shared aperitivo table set beneath a large, mature tree — an important element for the bride — became a special, defining detail of the evening, where food was presented as part of the design itself. Each dish was thoughtfully styled, turning the table into an artistic centrepiece for the night. A live pasta cooking station was woven into the setting, while handcrafted sangria bars were positioned between the trees, blending seamlessly into the natural surroundings.

The atmosphere was warm and flowing. Guests moved freely through the space as drinks flowed, canapés flew, and conversations found their own rhythm. The Shop Productions purpose-built the service kitchen at the back of the site, ensuring seamless service throughout the evening. Dishes were sent out at carefully timed moments, moving naturally by waiters through the crowd while still allowing guests to visit food stations and bars at their own pace.

Bars, built and decorated with soft, white, gently draped tablecloths and illuminated by festoon lighting, became natural meeting points as the night settled in.

As the sun began to fade, a live acoustic guitarist played gentle background melodies, setting a subtle rhythm for the evening. Léa and Werner welcomed their guests with a heartfelt speech, grounding the moment in warmth and connection. Ice creams followed, presented from a charming ice cream cart offering specially created, personalised flavours, before a spontaneous hour of disco dancing by the pool set the tone for the celebrations still to come — a light, joyful opening to the wedding weekend.

Day Two — A Sacred Church Ceremony in Es Cubells

For the ceremony, Léa and Werner dreamed of something deeply traditional yet heartfelt, meaningful, and rooted in the character of the island itself. They envisioned a ceremony in one of Ibiza’s iconic churches, and after exploring several options, they fell in love with Es Cubells Church — a classic whitewashed Ibizan church with a single central nave, barrel-vaulted ceiling, and distinctive buttresses, nestled above the southwest coastline, where its clean, simple lines reflect the serene spirit of the village and the island’s rural architectural heritage.

The Shop Productions supported them through the entire documentation process required to be married in an Ibiza church, guiding them step by step through the necessary administrative and logistical requirements. The couple also chose to bring their own priest from Belgium to make the ceremony more personal and intimate, with The Shop Productions managing all coordination to ensure this choice was seamlessly integrated into the day.

On the day, the sun was high, the breeze soft, and guests arrived at a scene that felt both sacred and naturally coastal. The church was kept beautifully understated, decorated with light blue and white floral arrangements that complemented its timeless architecture. Léa and Werner chose to celebrate a full, traditional one-hour mass, accompanied by live piano, cello, and vocals, performing a selection of English and Spanish songs chosen by the couple.

Following the ceremony, guests stepped outside where The Shop Productions had prepared a celebratory toast of champagne and sangria, set against one of Ibiza’s most iconic backdrops. Moments later, Léa and Werner drifted away in a baby-blue vintage car, beginning their journey toward the dinner venue as guests followed behind. The Shop Productions arranged transportation for all guests and carefully managed the full ceremony timetable, ensuring a smooth and effortless flow from arrival to departure.

Day 2 — The Dinner & Party at the Private Villa

The main celebration took place at the groom’s family’s new house — a property that was still under renovation for most of the planning year. This required careful coordination between construction timelines, event design, and production needs. Throughout the year, The Shop Productions worked closely with the family and the building team to ensure the property would be ready in time, with all structural and technical elements carefully integrated into the space in a safe and seamless way.

The evening began with an aperitivo hour on the side terrace, allowing guests to settle into the setting as the light softened. When it was time for dinner, Léa and Werner opened the striped curtains together, revealing the full dinner scene to their guests. Tables arranged across three levels overlooked the pool and surrounding hills, creating a structured yet open setting that allowed dinner service to flow smoothly. Moments later, the couple made their entrance from the top of the stairs — another quiet reveal that marked the beginning of the night’s main celebration.

Dinner was served over three courses, interwoven with speeches from family and friends. As the meal came to an end, the cake moment followed, leading naturally into the first live piano performance on the floating stage on the pool. Guests gathered closely around Werner and Léa, singing together in an intimate moment before the full band joined in. What followed was effortless — dancing spread across the stage and poolside, creating an atmosphere that felt energetic, joyful, and deeply personal.

Later in the night, the celebration moved indoors, where The Shop Productions transformed the villa’s living room into a late-night dancefloor. With the club space open, music carried on into the early hours.

Lighting and sound played a quiet yet defining role throughout the evening. The Shop Productions illuminated the villa and its surrounding terraces in a natural, atmospheric way — enhancing the architecture and landscape while preserving a sense of warmth and closeness. Sound was carefully distributed across all areas of the house, ensuring a seamless transition between moments and spaces. Throughout the night, our technical engineers remained on site, overseeing every element and ensuring the production flowed smoothly from the first note to the final dance.

Day 3 — Beach Day at Experimental

For the final day, Léa and Werner envisioned a relaxed beach gathering — a moment to slow the pace, unwind together, and relive the night before in the easy rhythm of the island. Throughout the planning process, The Shop Productions supported the couple at every stage, from selecting the right setting to shaping the menu and defining the natural flow of the day.

After visiting several locations together, they chose Experimental Beach, set within the salt lakes and opening out toward views of Es Vedrà. The setting offered exactly what they were looking for — a sense of calm, open surroundings, thoughtful cuisine, and an atmosphere that felt unforced and comfortable.

The day unfolded gently. Guests moved between beach beds and the shoreline, swims in the sea punctuating long conversations and shared reflections. Tapas were served steadily throughout the afternoon, allowing everyone to come and go as they pleased. It was a fitting close to the celebration — simple, sunlit, and fully aligned with the couple’s original vision for the weekend.

Our Role — Full Production & Event Direction

For Léa and Werner, The Shop Productions was responsible for the full production and direction of their wedding weekend, overseeing every stage from initial concept through to final execution. Working closely with the couple throughout the year, we translated their vision into a cohesive, multi-day experience — balancing design, logistics, technical precision, and atmosphere across a variety of locations and settings. Following two on-site visits, we developed detailed floor plans to define spatial layouts and guest flow, and, once aligned, produced 3D visuals and fly-through renders to help Léa and Werner fully envision how each setting would come together.

Our role included venue scouting and selection, supplier coordination, and the development of all event layouts and spatial flows. We designed and built temporary structures, bars, stages over the pool, and service areas, while shaping the overall aesthetic through décor, lighting, and sound. From countryside gatherings and church ceremonies to private-villa celebrations and a beachside farewell, every environment was carefully planned to feel distinct yet connected.

Across the weekend, The Shop Productions managed all technical production — including lighting, sound, staging on pool, and power — with dedicated engineering teams on site to ensure each moment ran seamlessly. We oversaw logistics, guest transportation, circulation, and timing, as well as detailed planning around seating, service flow, and transitions between moments. Particular attention was given to working within sensitive environments, historic locations, and an active construction site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and a smooth guest experience throughout.

Throughout the process, we acted as a single point of coordination, bringing together all creative and technical elements under one roof. This integrated approach enabled clarity, consistency, and calm — allowing Léa and Werner to focus on the experience itself, while every detail was carefully considered and executed behind the scenes.
